Panicum virgatum 'Heavy Metal' is een siergras bekend om zijn opvallende blauwgrijze bladkleur. Deze cultivar groeit in compacte bossige bundels tot 120 cm en produceert luchtige bloempluimen in de zomermaanden. 'Heavy Metal' gedijt goed in zonnige locaties en is bestand tegen droogte. Het is een ideale keuze voor borders of als accentplant in de tuin.
